Gangsters draw on paper. However, I love a blend of the tangible and digital realm to come up with designs. The iPad is an incredible tool I use everyday but there’s just a separation of soul for me when something doesn’t have life initially breathed into it with my own hand. From sketch, to drawing, to stencil, to tattoo there is a revision in every step of the process. And I love that. Not being too sure where a piece wants to go and allowing it to take on life on its own terms is where my most powerful illustrations are born. The statue is already in the block of marble type shit. Use all the tools at your disposable but don’t get too married to any one of them.
