I have the privilege of often working with familiar faces

I have the privilege of often working with familiar faces. Some people come in once a month, others every few years. Usually when clients ask what I have been up to, I answer “right where you left me”. My station is obviously where I do my tattoos daily, but it’s often also a meeting place to check in with folks many of which I’ve been working with for most of my career. Whether it’s a friend that’s been along for the journey long before I was tattooing, or a client I’ve come to know well from spending many hours together, my tattoo station has become a marker of seasons through indelible marks. The human element in tattooing is where some of its best magic lies. I think the longer you do it the more that sinks in. So if you come in every few weeks, years, or just follow along on here, thanks. I really appreciate you. And if it’s been a while, I’m right where you left me.
